Your donations will help me get through those 26.2 miles, but most importantly, it will help those with cancer in their daily journey and push us closer to cures that will save lives.
Here’s a sample of where your money goes:
- Registering people to be bone marrow donors
- Providing bone marrow typing for a family member of a patient with leukemia
- Paying for chemotherapy drug prescriptions and co-payments
- Training peer volunteers to provide emotional support for newly diagnosed patients
- Providing patient aid to a person with Leukemia or a related cancer
- Allowing patients to meet with health care specialists to design and discuss their disease, treatment plan, and prepare them with the info they need for their treatment process
- Supplying patients with Gleevec, the oral alternative drug to invasive i.v. chemo.
